Sila Services has acquired Davis Heating and Air Conditioning Company, expanding its reach in Virginia and adding a long-established residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical services provider to its Mid-Atlantic operations.

The deal extends Sila’s presence into Western Virginia, including the Roanoke, Lynchburg and Danville markets. Davis Heating and Air Conditioning, founded in 1947, has focused its business on maintenance, repair and residential service offerings and built a longstanding reputation across the region.

Sila said the acquisition fits its strategy of growing through deals with independently operated companies that have established brands, experienced leadership teams and strong customer relationships. According to the company, it has aimed to keep local market identities in place rather than rebrand acquired businesses, while providing operational resources and growth capital.

Chris Bishop, CEO and owner of Davis Heating and Air Conditioning, said the companies share a similar approach to employees and service.

"For more than 75 years, our company has been dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and that commitment has always started with taking care of our people."

Chris continued, "Sila’s people-first culture perfectly mirrors our own commitment to our team members and provides enhanced opportunities for career growth and development with the resources of Sila Services behind us. This partnership marks an exciting next step in our journey, strengthening our ability to uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction while positioning Davis for continued growth in the years ahead."

The acquisition also supports Sila’s broader effort to expand its skilled workforce and service capacity in high-growth regional markets. The company said demand for HVAC replacement, plumbing services and residential electrical work continues to rise, and it has prioritized investments in local businesses with established customer bases and experienced technical teams.

Mike Rudolf, chief operating officer of Sila Services, said Davis matches the profile of the businesses Sila wants to bring into its platform.

"Davis Heating and Air Conditioning represents exactly the type of company we look to partner with", Rudolf said. "Our mission is to preserve what makes great local companies successful while giving them additional resources to grow. Davis has built a remarkable legacy over the past 78 years, and we’re committed to helping Chris and his team continue that legacy by investing in their people, expanding career opportunities in the skilled trades, and delivering even greater value to homeowners."

Sila Services operates more than 45 home services brands across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, offering residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, indoor air quality and home performance services. With the addition of Davis Heating and Air Conditioning, the company further expands its Mid-Atlantic footprint in line with its acquisition strategy.
