Loenbro has acquired Prism Electric, a move that expands the company’s electrical construction, service and maintenance operations in Texas and Oklahoma and adds about 2,500 employees to its platform.
The transaction was announced earlier this month, and Loenbro described it as the largest acquisition in the company’s history. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Prism Electric, founded in 1994, provides electrical construction, service, maintenance and integrated technology solutions across Texas and Oklahoma. Its work includes projects in data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial projects, aviation and commercial construction.
With the acquisition, Loenbro gains a larger electrical workforce and broader operating reach in two major regional markets. Prism’s experience in mission-critical and industrial environments also aligns with Loenbro’s existing end markets, including data centers and other infrastructure-intensive sectors.
Blake Combs, Prism’s founder and President, will remain involved after the deal. Members of Prism’s leadership team are also moving into operational roles within Loenbro’s South Region.
Loenbro, founded in 2000, provides specialized construction and industrial services spanning electrical, mechanical, structural, underground, inspection, maintenance and fabrication operations.
The company serves markets that include data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, commercial construction and industrial infrastructure.
The Prism acquisition follows Loenbro’s strategic partnership with private equity firm Kohlberg, which was announced in December 2025. According to the original announcement, that partnership was established to support Loenbro’s expansion across data center and mission-critical infrastructure services.
Loenbro was advised by Alvarez & Marsal and Evercore, while Godfrey & Kahn provided legal counsel. Prism’s financial adviser was Glaucon Partners, and Hallett & Perrin served as legal counsel.
No purchase price, revenue or EBITDA figures were disclosed for the transaction.
The deal comes as electrical contractor consolidation continues across Texas and Oklahoma, particularly as large-scale data center, healthcare and industrial projects require specialized electrical and infrastructure expertise. For owners and developers, the transaction reflects continued consolidation among regional specialty contractors as larger platforms expand geographic coverage, workforce capacity and capabilities for complex construction programs.
