The Jarrell Company Acquired by Construction Resources, Expanding Product Offerings

In a strategic move to expand their operations and product offerings, Dallas-based luxury distributor The Jarrell Company has been acquired by Atlanta’s Construction Resources Company, LLC. The acquisition brings together two well-established leaders in the design and home building industry, forming a partnership to enhance services and broaden market presence.

Eric Neel, president of The Jarrell Company, will continue to lead his team under the Construction Resources umbrella. While specific terms of the deal were not disclosed, both companies have expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

"For more than 75 years, The Jarrell Company has served homebuilders, remodelers, designers, and premium consumers", Neel said in a statement. "Currently, The Jarrell Company serves the DFW Metroplex and Lubbock. We’re excited to become a part of Construction Resources, and we look forward to serving our customers with the same great service from the same group of professionals for years to come."

A Legacy of Excellence in Texas

Founded in the late 1940s as Jarrell Appliances, The Jarrell Company has grown to become a trusted provider of luxury appliances, plumbing, and lighting for Texas builders, interior designers, and homeowners. Known for its iconic starburst sign at its Dallas showroom near Greenville Avenue, the company has steadily expanded its footprint, with additional locations now operating in Grapevine, Rockwall, and Lubbock.

Construction Resources, a prominent distributor of premium appliances, cabinetry, and design-oriented surfaces, was itself acquired by The Home Depot in December 2023. The acquisition of The Jarrell Company marks Construction Resources’ first significant expansion into Texas.

A Vision for Growth

Mitch Hires, CEO of Construction Resources, highlighted the shared values and high standards that drew his team to The Jarrell Company. "We’re excited to have The Jarrell Company as a key partner in the Construction Resources’ family of companies and expand our operations into Texas", Hires said in a statement.

He further emphasized the value of The Jarrell Company's leadership and reputation. "CR was attracted to The Jarrell Company based on their leadership team and established culture of providing elevated service levels across their customer base. We plan to invest in their growth and support them as needed to continue delivering premium appliance, plumbing, and lighting offerings to the builder and designer community."

The acquisition positions both organizations to better serve their respective markets while maintaining a commitment to quality and innovation. With this partnership, customers of The Jarrell Company can anticipate continued access to premium products and a seamless service experience.
