Impact Climate Technologies Acquires Larry Wunsch & Associates in Strategic HVAC Expansion

February 12, 2026

Impact Climate Technologies (ICT), a leading HVAC holding company, has announced its acquisition of Larry Wunsch & Associates, Inc. (LWA), a well-established distributor and representative of commercial HVAC and plumbing equipment based in San Antonio, Texas. This strategic move marks a significant step in ICT's plans to strengthen its presence in Texas and expand its capabilities within the HVAC sector.

Founded in 1985, Larry Wunsch & Associates has built a strong reputation over the years by representing and distributing hydronic products from various manufacturers. The company serves consulting engineers, contractors, supply houses, end users, and military installations. It operates out of facilities located in both San Antonio and Austin. Key to LWA’s success has been its technical expertise, long-standing relationships with customers, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Under the terms of the acquisition, LWA will retain its existing name and leadership team while continuing its current operations. ICT plans to support LWA by providing strategic, operational, and sales resources to help the company grow and expand its capabilities further.

Strengthening Roots in Texas

The acquisition is part of ICT’s broader strategy to partner with established HVAC organizations that share its commitment to service excellence and long-term performance. The deal allows ICT to deepen its footprint in the Texas market, leveraging LWA’s established customer base and technical expertise.

John Moon, CEO of Impact Climate Technologies, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating:

"We are pleased to welcome Larry Wunsch & Associates to Impact Climate Technologies. LWA has built an outstanding reputation through deep market knowledge, trusted manufacturer partnerships, and a strong customer-first culture. Their values and approach align well with ICT’s mission to support exceptional HVAC businesses while helping them grow and scale."

LWA’s leadership also sees the acquisition as a positive development for the company, its employees, and its customers. Scott Wunsch, President of Larry Wunsch & Associates, commented:

"This partnership represents an exciting opportunity for our employees, our customers, and our manufacturing partners. ICT’s experience and resources will allow us to strengthen our operations and broaden our reach while continuing to deliver the high level of service and technical support our customers expect."

Backed by Global Expertise

ICT operates as a portfolio company of Ardian, a global private investment firm managing or advising $150 billion in assets on behalf of more than 1,400 clients. With this backing, ICT is well-positioned to make strategic investments like the acquisition of LWA, furthering its mission to support and scale high-performing HVAC businesses.

The acquisition underscores ICT’s commitment to fostering innovation and growth within the HVAC industry while maintaining a customer-focused approach. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to enhance their offerings and continue delivering superior service to their partners and clients.
