Greenix Pest Control has acquired Essential Pest Control, expanding into Tennessee for the first time while also increasing its presence in the Dayton, Ohio market. The deal was just announced on July 7, 2026.
The deal brings Greenix into its 21st state of operation through Essential Pest Control’s service to homeowners in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Founded in 2011, Greenix provides environmentally responsible residential pest control services and said it now protects more than 300,000 households across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast. The company described the acquisition as part of its long-term plan to grow through partnerships with regional providers that share its customer-focused approach.
Essential Pest Control, a family-owned business until this acquisition, built its reputation on reliable service, experienced technicians, and a people-first culture. Greenix said existing customers will continue receiving uninterrupted service and will gain access to its technology, resources, and broader residential pest control offerings.
The acquisition follows Greenix’s partnership with private equity firm Gridiron Capital in 2025. Since that partnership, the company said it has accelerated growth through acquisitions, geographic expansion, and investments in customer experience. Nate Randle, Chief Executive Officer of Greenix Pest Control, said this of the acquisition:
