Kian Capital-backed Diamond Landscaping, a leading provider of luxury residential landscaping services, has successfully acquired Christensen Landscape Services, a market leader in the high-end residential landscaping segment based in Connecticut. While the transaction was finalized in February, its worth mentioning due to the fast-growing nature of this luxury landscaping company. The transaction marks the seventh acquisition for the platform since Kian Capital's initial partnership with Diamond Landscaping in December 2021 and follows the recent purchase of Arizona Outdoor Designs. The acquisition expands Diamond Landscaping's Northeast operations and adds a new high-end market in Connecticut, further extending the company's national reach.

Established in 1981 and based in Northford, Connecticut, Christensen Landscape Services hosts a comprehensive set of landscape offerings, including custom design, installation, and recurring garden maintenance services. The company has built a reputation for quality and craftsmanship in the estate gardening market and is recognized as one of the most trusted brands in Connecticut. Co-founded and co-owned by Dave and Donna Christensen, the firm is particularly noted for its complete hardscape capabilities, including stone masonry, concrete finishing, and on-site carpentry, as well as its award-winning, in-house design capabilities led by a highly capable team of landscape design professionals.

With this acquisition, Diamond Landscaping is expanding its geographic footprint and bringing new design and hardscape capabilities to its platform while preserving the local culture and craftsmanship that have defined Christensen's success. Speaking about the partnership, Donna Christensen, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Christensen Landscape Services, stated:

"When it came time to evaluate a partner for Christensen, we sought a team with the same passion for high-end design and white-glove service that we've delivered to our clients for over four decades. We have found that and more in the team at Diamond Landscaping. Our people hold an unwavering commitment to creating spaces that last a lifetime — an essential value that is shared by the Diamond Landscaping team."

Reflecting on the strategic progress of the deal, Anson Martin, CEO of Diamond Landscaping, remarked:

"Christensen is exactly the type of business we want to partner with as we continue to build Diamond Landscaping as the premier high-end residential landscaping platform in the U.S. Dave and Donna have built an exceptional company grounded in craftsmanship, design excellence and deep client trust. As we grow, our focus is on preserving what makes each partner special while providing the scale, resources and operating discipline that allow great teams to thrive for the long term."

David Hare, Principal at Kian Capital, added: "The Christensen acquisition represents additional exciting momentum for the platform and creates regional density in our Northeast operations. Donna and Dave have built an impressive business with a reputation for quality and service that aligns perfectly with our broader strategy."

Since Kian Capital's investment in December 2021, Diamond Landscaping has nearly tripled revenue and EBITDA and completed seven strategic add-on acquisitions, expanding its footprint across the broader Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, the Hamptons, Jackson Hole, Scottsdale, and now Connecticut markets. Kian Capital is a lower-middle-market-focused private investment firm with $1.1 billion of capital under management, partnering with founder/owner-operated businesses in the essential services and value-added distribution sectors.

The acquisition of Christensen Landscape Services underscores Diamond Landscaping's commitment to strategic growth and its efforts to strengthen its position as the premier luxury residential landscaping platform in the United States.
