Anticimex Acquires Environmental Pest Management in Midwest

2026-10-05 2:02 pm

Anticimex has entered the Midwest market by acquiring Environmental Pest Management LLC, a Columbus, Ohio-based pest control business that gives the global provider an established presence in a region it has long targeted.

‍

Environmental Pest Management, known as EPM, was founded in 2003 and provides pest control services in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The deal adds a business with more than two decades of operating history to Anticimex’s North American platform, which the company has expanded through partnerships with established pest management providers.

‍

Sean Steves, president of Anticimex North America, had this to say:

‍

"We are thrilled to welcome EPM to the Anticimex family. The Midwest has been an attractive market to Anticimex since Anticimex entered North America and partnering with the Carpenter family was a great cultural fit."

‍

For EPM, the partnership offers access to an international organization, additional opportunities for employees and support for its next stage of growth.

‍

Jason Carpenter, owner of EPM, said:

‍

"We’re excited for our team members and the opportunities that come along with a partnership like this. Anticimex and EPM have similar core values which is why we felt Anticimex was the right partner to continue growing the business in this new exciting chapter of the EPM journey."

‍

Anticimex serves residential and commercial customers and has increasingly emphasized preventive pest management and technology-enabled services. Its approach combines traditional pest control, biological expertise and its digital SMART offering, including digital monitoring and environmentally focused solutions.

‍

The company has approximately 12,000 employees in 22 countries and reported SEK 17.1 Billion in total revenue in 2025. It has operated for approximately 90 years.

‍

Paul Giannamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer of The Potomac Company acted as exclusive financial advisors to Environmental Pest Management on the transaction. The acquisition provides Anticimex with a local operating foundation for further expansion in the Midwest. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
